About The Position

As an intern on GE Vernova’s Digital Technology Product Design team, you will contribute to the design and development of user experiences for complex enterprise products. The internship provides hands-on experience in product design, AI-enabled design workflows, and collaborative product development with cross-functional teams. GE Vernova’s mission is to continue electrifying the world while helping decarbonize it. GE Gas Power develops energy technologies and provides power used around the world.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in UX Design, Human Centered Design & Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of UX design principles, user research methods, and interaction design patterns.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, including prototyping and component-based design.
• Must be available to work full-time during the internship period.

Nice To Haves

• Passion for human-centered design and emerging AI-powered user experiences.
• Strong visual communication skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and research tools and their application in UX workflows.
• Experience designing within or contributing to a design system.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving through design thinking.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery and research to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities within complex systems.
• Design and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows for enterprise software products.
• Use AI-assisted design tools, such as generative AI, research synthesis tools, and design copilots, to support concept generation and iteration.
• Conduct user research sessions and synthesize findings into actionable insights and visualizations.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to translate user needs into clear design deliverables.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
