About The Position

Within the VP – P&C Insurance and Corporate Services IT, the Agile Team Lead guides and coaches the multidisciplinary IT teams assigned to them to make them productive and achieve the delivery objectives set by the organization. They do this by relying on the principles and practices of the Agile approach, by fostering engagement and by promoting self-organization, continuous improvement, and hyper-collaboration. At this level, the Agile Team Lead is entrusted with several teams simultaneously, often larger teams with more complex issues to address together.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent university training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology, including a minimum of three (3) years in a team management role as a scrum master, project manager, team leader, etc.
  • Mastery of the Agile delivery mode, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
  • Good knowledge of business domains related to the insurance sector.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Project, and/or Clarity PPM.
  • Advanced proficiency in French, both spoken and written, as well as functional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with colleagues, partners, clients, or English-speaking suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany the team in understanding and applying the principles of self-organization and multidisciplinarity.
  • Continuously explain and validate each team member's understanding of their role and their progress in Agile principles and practices.
  • Accompany and guide the team in shaping and adjusting their work processes based on their context and constraints.
  • Organize and facilitate team workshops, identify issues, and contribute to resolving obstacles to foster team collaboration and productivity.
  • Provide support to the Product Owner (PO) and the Architecture Lead in their respective roles.
  • Collaborate with managers in resolving conflicts that arise within teams to ensure a hyper-collaborative spirit is maintained.
  • Facilitate collaboration between their team and other teams within the organization with whom interaction is necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
