About The Position

Our client, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support multiple software development teams in an Agile environment. This role partners closely with Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders to help teams deliver meaningful, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Scrum Master certification
• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner in a software development environment
• Strong experience with Jira
• Experience coaching teams new to Agile and Scrum
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills
• Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Scrum principles and Agile best practices
• Support Product Owners with backlog management, prioritization, and stakeholder requests
• Help teams improve delivery predictability, velocity, and overall Scrum maturity
• Remove impediments, resolve conflicts, and reduce blockers impacting team progress
• Build and maintain reports related to velocity, burndown, capacity, and planning using Jira
• Support story point estimation, roadmap adjustments, quarterly planning, and cross-team collaboration
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
