About the Role: The Scrum Master III serves as a servant leader and Agile coach, guiding teams and stakeholders in the adoption of Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement. This role facilitates Agile ceremonies, promotes team collaboration, and helps ensure work is prioritized and aligned with business value. They also remove impediments, foster a culture of transparency and trust, and empower teams to become self-organized and high-performing. This position partners closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to support successful delivery, improve team maturity, and enhance Agile effectiveness across the organization.

Requirements

  • Must exhibit expert knowledge of agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
  • Professional Scrum Master and advanced certification and at least 5 years of agile experience.
  • 4-6 years leading Agile teams as a Scrum Master
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Scrum Master Certification CSM, PSM I, PMI-ACP Req

  • Prefer proficient in the use of Agile delivery tools such as TFS, Jira and Azure DevOps.

  • Advanced Scrum Master Certification: PSM II (Scrum.org) or A-CSM (Scrum Alliance) Pref

Responsibilities

  • Guiding and coaching the Scrum Teams and organization on how to apply agile values and principles, and use the Scrum Framework to delight customers
  • Assessing the Scrum maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity
  • Protect the team from outside influences and remove impediments
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining (aka grooming) and managing the product backlog
  • Working closely with the Product Owner to ensure product backlog is visible and prioritized towards business value
  • Facilitating various Scrum and/or Kanban activities such as: Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Empowering the team to be self-organized
  • Working effectively within an AI enabled environment: Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
  • Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
  • Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
  • Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection
