About The Position

Maintain the cleanliness of the Distribution Center floors. This role involves operating power sweepers and scrubbers, performing basic repairs on equipment, managing waste and recyclables, and cleaning up various types of spills, including hazardous materials according to regulations. The position also includes general warehouse duties such as loading and unloading trailers and assisting the maintenance team as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• General knowledge of basic cleaning products required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull.
• Ability to read simple text.
• Ability to write simple text.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Analysis/Comprehension.
• Judgment/Decision Making.

Nice To Haves

• Technical education preferred.
• Previous mechanical experience preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, and mop warehouse floors using power sweeper and scrubber.
• Perform basic repairs to the sweeper scrubber truck.
• Picks-up and empty trash receptacles and picks-up cardboard, plastic, and baled items in order to reduce waste volume and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Cleans up various types of spills and disposes of waste while adhering to Company procedures for proper disposal of said items.
• Cleans up toxic spills according to federal, state and local regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist maintenance team as required.
• Perform general warehouse duties including loading and unloading trailers.
