About The Position

This position assists surgeons and nursing staff in the performance of surgical procedures. The Scrub Tech collaborates with all members of the surgical team for the benefit of the patient. This role requires clinical competence in surgical technical skills, Sterile Processing, Endoscopy, and Materials Management Departments. A superior sterile conscience is demonstrated through understanding of principles of asepsis and consistently maintaining sterile technique. The Scrub Tech communicates any breaks in technique to the circulating RN and surgeons, and ensures all necessary equipment is in the room prior to the start of the case. Competency in safely operating all electro-surgical, diagnostic, video equipment, disposable equipment, and specialty equipment is also required.

Requirements

• Must have Ortho Experience
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Certification as OR Surgical Technician is Required.
