About The Position

The Medical Scribe program at Vituity offers an entry-level opportunity for individuals, particularly undergraduates or post-baccalaureate students pursuing healthcare careers, to gain first-hand knowledge and practical experience by working side-by-side with frontline physicians and healthcare providers. This role is ideal for students taking time off before medical, PA, or NP school, as scribe hours count towards clinical training for many programs. Requirements

Responsible and mature demeanor with a passion for medicine
Strong writing skills
Quick and accurate typing speed
Works 2-3 shifts per week (including weekends and a holiday)
Ability to stand, walk and follow a physician for extended periods
Ability to work in a stressful and fast paced environment
1 year commitment at this site, continuous one year, not a summer position
Excellent follow through
Self-motivated
Completion of scribe application test is required

Nice To Haves

Experience with medical terminology, human anatomy, and human physiology is preferred
Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired
