About The Position

This role is accountable for the production and quality of SMD machines and for following process instructions as they pertain to SMD parts. The operator will provide the Shift Supervisor with recommendations for repairs, tooling, and necessary raw materials, as well as suggestions to improve the efficiency and quality of the Screw Machine Department. The position also involves maintaining cleanliness of the Screw Machine Department, ensuring all machine guards and safety equipment are installed and functional, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Experience operating SMD machines.
• Knowledge of process instructions for SMD parts.
• Ability to identify and recommend necessary repairs, tooling, and raw materials.
• Understanding of efficiency and quality improvement in a screw machine department.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety equipment installation and functionality.
• Willingness to perform other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for production and quality of SMD machines.

• Provide the Shift Supervisor with recommendations to improve the efficiency and quality of the Screw Machine Department.
• Responsible for keeping the Screw Machine Department (including chip-spinner) clean at all times.
• Ensure all machine guards and other safety equipment are installed and in working order at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
