About The Position

This role is accountable for the production and quality of SMD machines and for following process instructions as they pertain to SMD parts. The operator will provide the Shift Supervisor with recommendations for repairs, tooling, and necessary raw materials, as well as suggestions to improve the efficiency and quality of the Screw Machine Department. Additionally, the operator is responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in the Screw Machine Department, including the chip-spinner, and ensuring all machine guards and safety equipment are properly installed and functional.

Requirements

• Experience operating screw machines.
• Understanding of process instructions for SMD parts.
• Ability to identify and recommend necessary repairs, tooling, and raw materials.
• Knowledge of how to improve efficiency and quality in a screw machine department.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Familiarity with machine guards and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for keeping the Screw Machine Department (including chip-spinner) clean at all times.
• Ensure all machine guards and other safety equipment are installed and in working order at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
