About The Position

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and Trainer, this position is responsible for transferring a design onto garments using a screenprint machine. As an operator, you will be responsible for processing orders through preparing garments, programming machine for the design and making quality adjustments as necessary, as well as helping to analyze order to identify design and determine ink colors or threads. This role offers a starting pay of $17/hour, with a clear path to earn up to $21+ as you build skills and perform at higher levels. Top performers can advance into higher levels in as little as 90 days based on performance and skill. The night shift comes with an additional $2.50/hour.

Requirements

  • High school education desirable, but not required.
  • Positive attitude & self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Detail oriented and self motivated.
  • Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Employee must be able to see and hear, read and write.
  • Requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, judgment, reading, speaking, following direction, handling multiple priorities, reasoning.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous production experience preferred, but not required.
  • Tablet, computer, Microsoft Word, Doc and Excel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transferring a design onto garments using a screenprint machine.
  • Processing orders through preparing garments.
  • Programming machine for the design and making quality adjustments as necessary.
  • Analyzing orders to identify design and determine ink colors or threads.
  • Unload shirts from platen.
  • Analyze orders to identify design and determine ink colors.
  • Verify quality of clothing and ink design or fabric color.
  • Change screens and ink for specific orders.
  • Access order specifications through computer programs.
  • Maintain Lakeshirts' acceptable standard of quality per garment.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Organize workflow.
  • Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards.
  • Works actively with others to get the job done.
  • Other duties as assigned.
