Screenprint Machine Operators-Day & Night Shift
About The Position
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and Trainer, this position is responsible for transferring a design onto garments using a screenprint machine. As an operator, you will be responsible for processing orders through preparing garments, programming machine for the design and making quality adjustments as necessary, as well as helping to analyze order to identify design and determine ink colors or threads. Day shift starts at $17 per hour and can reach $25 or more as you build speed and consistency. Night shift starts at $22 per hour with opportunities to earn $30 or more. Operator levels are based on performance, and team members may move between levels as performance changes. Pay can increase as skills and consistency improve or adjust if expectations are not met. High performers can advance quickly, with some progressing in as little as 90 days.
Requirements
- High school education desirable, but not required.
- Positive attitude & self-motivated
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Detail oriented and self motivated
- Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours.
- Ability to be stand for 8-10 hours a day.
- Employee must be able to see and hear, read and write.
- Requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, judgment, reading, speaking, following direction, handling multiple priorities, reasoning.
Nice To Haves
- Previous production preferred, but not required.
- Tablet, computer, Microsoft Word, Doc and Excel experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Access order specifications through computer programs
- Maintain Lakeshirts' acceptable standard of quality per garment
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Organize workflow
- Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
- Works actively with others to get the job done
- Unload shirts from platen
- Analyze orders to identify design and determine ink colors
- Verify quality of clothing and ink design or fabric color
- Change screens and ink for specific orders
- Other duties as assigned
