About The Position

This position works out of our Santa Rosa, CA site and its main function is to aliquot specimens in preparation for immunoassay testing. Timely completion of work is paramount to meet our commitment to our customers.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry or related field
• The ability to work safely with biological specimens.
• Mastered the core responsibilities of Screening Lab Tech I and II

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a computer and bar code scanner
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a group setting
• Ability to multitask

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed testing personnel in the performance of screening tests in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
• Scanning bottles and checking data previously entered into the database from requisition forms.
• Preparing aliquots of urine specimens for testing in a production laboratory.
• Confirm labeling to determine further testing/storage
• Receiving and sorting specimens
• Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures
• Running calibrators and quality controls on testing instruments
• Review, release and report results
• Operating and maintaining testing instruments
• Exceptional performance and attendance.
