About The Position

The role of the Screen Cleaner is to clean ink off silk screens used in printing images on to apparel. This involves cleaning an average of 115 screens per day to prepare for the production activities each day. Includes daily burning of silk screens for orders.

• Must be able to accurately identify colors and shapes
• Able to lift and move silk screens and push carts up to 30lbs
• Ability to perform basic Mathematical skills and ability to read and understand measurements
• Ability to walk and stand for an 8-hour shift
• Able to work overtime, including Saturdays if needed
• Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions (appropriate footwear)
• High school degree
• Experience in a printing department required

Responsibilities

• Wash silk screens daily, correctly, and thoroughly, using the Eco Rinse Machine, located inside the screen room
• Burn silk screens daily for orders using the Image Ste, Ecotex and Unikote machines, located inside the screen room. Use correct screen mesh for different treatments
• Check spelling, design numbers and treatment of each graphic
• Maintain all machines inside the screen room clean daily to have them ready for the next days work
• Be available to help others within the department as needed, including cleaning of printing machines
• Able to thoroughly wash and keep pace with requirements for cleaning screens and printing machines
• Work closely with Supervisor regarding establishing and completing daily work priorities
• Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
• Other duties as assigned
