About The Position

E&H Ace Hardware is hiring a detail-oriented, mechanically skilled Screen Repair Associate to repair and fabricate window and door screens, perform small equipment maintenance, and provide customer service. The role also supports inventory management, sales, records, signage, and general store operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management skills to ensure efficient repair turnaround.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and frequently bend, stoop, and reach.
Ability to climb ladders and operate equipment with proper training.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in screen repair, glass reglazing, or small equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Repair and rebuild window and door screens and fabricate screen frames to customer specifications.
Cut and reglaze glass windows as needed.
Prepare detailed repair quotes, explain services, and communicate repair updates and timelines to customers.
Sharpen chainsaw chains, mower blades, and other small tools, using sharpening equipment safely and properly.
Keep the workspace clean and organized.
Order and replenish screen repair materials and supplies, maintain adequate inventory, and communicate supply needs to management.
Greet and assist customers with repair advice, answer phone inquiries about repairs and pricing, and help customers select materials for custom screen and window solutions.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and transactions.
Ensure signage and pricing accuracy for screen repair services.
Assist with general store maintenance and merchandising as needed.
