About The Position
The Press Assistant supports the Screen Print Department by assisting Press Operators with machine setup, production flow, quality control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role plays a critical part in ensuring garments are printed accurately, efficiently, and to Armada’s quality standards.
Requirements
- Ability to unload garments from press and carefully put on dryer without damaging garments or prints
- Ability to maintain clean print habits, including cleaning spilled ink and keeping work areas organized and safe
- Ability to assist with applying inks to screens and monitoring ink levels during production
- Ability to recognize when additional ink or pallet adhesive is needed and communicate proactively
- Ability to inspect garments during unloading to ensure quality standards are met
- Ability to prioritize quality and never sacrifice quality for speed
- Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding equipment and production activity for safety and efficiency
- Ability to follow daily production schedules and support timely job completion
- Ability to prepare supplies and materials for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime
- Ability to verify correct garments, garment counts, and job numbers within company systems
- Ability to tape and prepare screens for upcoming jobs
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and team members
Responsibilities

- Maintain clean print habits, including cleaning spilled ink and keeping work areas organized and safe
- Assist with applying inks to screens and monitoring ink levels during production
- Recognize when additional ink or pallet adhesive is needed and communicate proactively
- Inspect garments during unloading to ensure quality standards are met, including identifying pinholes, lint or debris on screens, print alignment issues, and other print defects
- Always prioritize quality and never sacrifice quality for speed
- Maintain awareness of surrounding equipment and production activity for safety and efficiency
- Follow daily production schedules and support timely job completion
- Prepare supplies and materials for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime
- Verify correct garments, garment counts, and job numbers within company systems
- Tape and prepare screens for upcoming jobs
- Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and team members
