Market of Choice is hiring a Scratch Baker to prepare fresh baked goods using high-quality ingredients. The bakery team makes products such as cakes, doughnuts, and bagels, emphasizing freshness and convenience. Bakers work in a team environment and are expected to communicate effectively and help maintain a pleasant in-store atmosphere through knowledgeable, friendly customer service. The position starts at $19.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience, with growth opportunity up to $24.50 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional scratch baking experience.
- Open availability.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be motivated, able to work in a team environment, and have effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Read recipes and use math skills to assemble ingredients for scratch preparations.
- Bake the bakery’s products and make frostings and custards.
- Communicate professionally and courteously to maintain positive relations with customers, employees, and vendors.
- Create and maintain store records.
- Perform general cleaning.
