About The Position

This is a full-time, hourly position at Hormel Foods. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $24.25-$34.00 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and be 18 years of age or older. Applicants must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Proof of Class A CDL license and able to meet JOTS driving qualifications with no restriction and current DOT medical exam certificate
  • One year driving experience or a certificate of completion
  • No more than 1 moving violation in last 12 months, or no more than 2 moving violations in last 36 months
  • No DWI offenses in last 12 months, or no more than 1 DWI offense in last 36 months
  • Able to follow bio security guidelines
  • Ability to work a varied schedule (to include evenings and weekends)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to work independently with limited guidance
  • Able to work in upper Midwest outdoor environment year round
  • Ability to withstand below zero temperatures daily
  • Ability to withstand hot / humid temperatures daily
  • Able to read and write English

Responsibilities

  • Help crew clean company turkey barns
  • Load manure in a timely manner as directed by supervisor
  • Service/maintenance on trucks, bobcats, floor sweeper and floor blower
  • Position may require variable start and finish times
  • This job requires majority of time in bobcat/skid loader operational duties
  • Follow all company bio-security policies and procedures
  • Wear proper PPE at all times
  • Follow all company safety rules and regulations
  • Able to communicate well with others
