About The Position

Hatchery Truck Driver Full Time – Hourly At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $24.25 - $34.00 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location. Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions & current DOT medical exam certificate Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Must be 18 years of age or older

Requirements

  • Have a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Posses a current medical card
  • At least 21 years old
  • Be able to read, write and communicate in the English Language
  • Have 1 year or more of verifiable professional driving experience or be able to provide a certificate from an accredited driver training program
  • Have an acceptable driving record
  • You must not have had an OWI conviction in the past 5 years or have one now pending
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of day-old turkey poults to various company and contract turkey farms
  • Driving to pick up egg racks from farms and hatcheries.
  • Maintain accurate mileage and driver's logs
  • General maintenance on the truck including inspections, fueling, cleaning, sanitizing
  • Being able to push 1,000 lb egg racks on wheels.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Follow all biosecurity guidelines
  • Conduct self in a positive, team oriented manner
