About The Position

Working in all weather conditions at the direction of a supervisor to accomplish the production goals for the company. This role involves operating the scale at a metals recycling plant, sorting metals, monitoring machine operations, and adhering to all safety policies. The ideal candidate will be energetic, computer literate, detail-oriented, and show initiative. Punctuality, great attendance, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work hard are essential. The work environment includes exposure to all elements and working outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. It involves standing for long periods, pushing, pulling, stooping, lifting, grasping, repetitive motion, and requires good hearing, talking, and close visual acuity. Employees are subject to noise and hazards.

Requirements

Familiarity with scrap metal commodities and scale operations (references required)
Energetic and able to keep up with fast-paced operations
Computer literate with word and excel type programs
Attention to detail and initiative
High School Diploma
Must be on time to work and have great attendance
Must have positive attitude and willing to work hard
