Scrap Driver/Material Handler- Weekend Shift

About The Position
The Scrap Hauler works onsite in Springfield, Tennessee, for Electrolux Major Appliances NA and reports to a Production Supervisor. The role supports production by reclaiming viable parts, moving defective units to the scrap area, and maintaining an organized work area. The job requires operating material-handling equipment, primarily a tugger and/or forklift, and performing repetitive physical tasks.
Requirements
- Two years of manufacturing or production experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to bend, stoop, reach, grip, and repeatedly lift 40 pounds.
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for periods of 8–10 hours.
- Able to communicate concisely in English, verbally and in writing.
- Must be certified to operate forklifts and tuggers.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating forklifts and tuggers.
Responsibilities
- Work cooperatively with fellow team members on the production floor.
- Reclaim viable parts for future use and return them to the workstation through manual processes.
- Move defective units to the scrap area using material-handling equipment, primarily a tugger and/or forklift.
- Maintain good work and organizational skills.
- Perform daily housekeeping and maintain organization in the assigned area.
- Visually identify small component parts and remove them manually or with tools.
