About The Position

The Scrap Driver/Material Handler works onsite at Electrolux Major Appliances NA in Springfield, Tennessee, reporting to a Production Supervisor. The role works cooperatively with production-floor team members to reclaim viable parts for future use and return them to workstations through manual processes. It also moves defective units to the scrap area using material-handling equipment, primarily a tugger and/or forklift. The position includes maintaining organization and housekeeping in the assigned area and visually identifying and manually removing small component parts, with tools as needed. Forklift and tugger certification is required; previous experience operating them is preferred. The position is listed as a weekend shift.

Requirements

Two years of manufacturing or production experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, grip, and repeatedly lift 40 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 8–10 hours.
Ability to communicate concisely in English, verbally and in writing.
Certification to operate forklifts and tuggers.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating forklifts and tuggers.
