About The Position
Scrap metal handler will sort and prepare metals for recycling and re-sale. Daily use of tools such as torches and saws to cut up the scrap products. Daily operation of fork lifts and front end loaders throughout scrap yard to stage material/scrap. Occasional operation of gantry crane for moving large, heavy items. All work performed in outside sitting of scrap yard.
Requirements
- This is a construction environment working in various weather conditions within a shipyard environment.
- Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.
- US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes
Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts and front-end loaders throughout the scrap yard to stage material/scrap.
- Occasionally operate a gantry crane for moving large, heavy items.
