About The Position

The Scientist will conduct in vitro and in vivo research to evaluate drug targets, using organoid and air-liquid-interface primary cell cultures and mouse models of inflammatory disease. The role includes analyzing lung epithelium function, repair, and regeneration, and collaborating with researchers across multiple Amgen functional areas. The Scientist will generate experimental evidence to support target identification, validation, and progression of inflammation research programs; propose respiratory disease targets by integrating human genetics, experimental findings, and published literature; and use AI-driven approaches to develop mechanistic insights, refine therapeutic hypotheses, and guide experimental design. The role also includes publishing and presenting research and working with scientific rigor, urgency, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
