About The Position

We are growing rapidly with an active research and discovery pipeline. This role will participate in research and drug discovery programs in the oncology pipeline. Requirements

Bachelor of Sciences
Demonstrated ability to design and perform experiments, assays, methods development, validation, scale up or operations
Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot problems requiring original thought
Demonstrated knowledge in field of expertise (i.e. unit operation, of literature, new developments, technologies, and regulations)
Ability to apply scientific principles to the design and interpretation of scientific experiments
Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
Ability to solve routine to complex operation and scientific problems requiring original thinking and deductive reasoning
Ability to prepare reports and interpret the results of complex experiments and present own work
Previous experience participating in a project team
Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite of Software (Word, Excel)
Ability to learn and apply business tools and systems such as SAP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present own work to a group

Nice To Haves

Bachelors/Master of Sciences with at least 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

Independently planning and performing experiments, generating and analyzing data and presenting results and next steps to support the development of drug discovery programs in the Oncology pipeline
Troubleshooting experiments, assays, or procedures: overcome obstacles and develop alternative experimental approaches
Recommending new and innovative solutions to problems utilizing knowledge of unit operations, scientific creativity, independent thought, and proficiency
Collaborating with other scientists in RED ONC and R&D functions and supporting cross team and cross site activities to progress drug development programs in Oncology activities, interpreting and effectively communicating scientific findings in one-on-one discussions and/or departmental meetings
Taking initiative in keeping current with field of specialty and contributing to scientific literature
Ensuring that laboratory notebooks are consistently updated, audited, and well maintained
