This role supports late-stage cell therapy products through analytical assay development, assay qualification/validation, and sample testing activities. The scientist will contribute to the design, planning, execution, and optimization of analytical assay development activities and assay validation studies. They will perform experiments, analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot technical issues, and communicate results and recommendations to internal stakeholders. The role involves preparing and presenting scientific data in technical reports, team discussions, and departmental meetings, and providing clear and proactive status updates on assigned activities, risks, and timelines to project teams and management. The scientist will also support the preparation and review of assay-related technical documentation, including protocols, methods, and reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytical strategy and timely project execution. Additionally, the role contributes to laboratory operations, including ordering, organization, equipment monitoring, maintenance, and general laboratory compliance.

Requirements

Strong experience with mammalian cell culture.
Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction and molecular biology assays such as qPCR, ddPCR, and DNA/RNA quantitation.
Working knowledge of analytical method development, assay optimization, qualification, and validation in a GMP environment.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex experimental data, troubleshoot assay performance issues, and support method improvements.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write and review SOPs, technical reports, and scientific documentation.
Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Solid understanding of GMP requirements and documentation practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline required.
4+ years of relevant industry experience.
Must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience with QX ONE, QX 200 and QuantStudio 7 instrumentation preferred.
Master’s degree preferred.
additional experience in analytical development or GMP assay validation strongly preferred.
Experience supporting late-stage development or regulated laboratory environments is preferred.
