This role is responsible for the design, synthesis, purification, and characterization of intermediates and bioactive compounds through the use of techniques such as column chromatography (e.g., high performance liquid chromatography, automated normal phase purification), nuclear magnetic resonance and parallel or combinatorial synthesis. The Scientist prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses, and is responsible for the communication and presentation of results to the project team to facilitate effective decision making.
