Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant laboratory experience, or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in peptide purification
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication
Nice To Haves
- Experience with HPLC (analytical/preparative) method is a plus.
- Experience in peptide synthesis is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot peptide synthesizers and related equipment (centrifuges, rotovaps, and balances)
- Solid phase peptide synthesis utilizing both manual and automated methodologies
- Perform routine wet laboratory techniques (pipetting, reagent reconstitution, calculations, weighing) independently to generate reliable and consistent results
- Follow and adhere to SOPs for standardized activities; recommend improvements as needed, and implement changes where necessary
- Complete hazardous waste training and manage hazardous waste
- Maintain accurate records and ELN
- Stay informed on relevant scientific literature
