About The Position

Parexel FSP is seeking a full-time Scientist III - Analytical Chemist (Drug Product) to support one of its clients onsite in Rahway, NJ. This laboratory-based role involves routine chromatographic and spectroscopic analysis of drug formulations, troubleshooting of methods and instrumentation, and meticulous documentation. Parexel FSP provides qualified technical professionals to support pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies in the development and delivery of new therapies. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an associated field and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree in Chemistry or an associated field and at least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • General knowledge of separations science and of analytical method development and method validation
  • Hands-on experience with Chromatographic analysis using various ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and gas chromatography (GC) techniques
  • Hands-on experience with Analysis using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS) spectroscopy
  • Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting HPLC and GC methods and instrumentation
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to multi-task and manage multiple ongoing projects in parallel including routine testing (for example, assay and impurity testing) and data processing and interpretation
  • Excellent oral and written communication and attention to detail
  • Strong documentation skills to meet departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
