Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced pathology scientist to join the Translational Research Pathology group in San Diego, supporting the Protein Homeostasis TRC’s drug discovery and translational pathology efforts. The TRC is a fundamental Oncology research engine focused on exploiting BMS’ expertise in protein degradation to discover and develop therapies for cancer. The group collaborates with research scientists to support tissue-based target validation, animal model studies, and biomarker research from Discovery through early clinical trials. Under the leadership of an MD pathologist, the group provides pathobiology scientific expertise, diagnostic consultation, and histopathology technical support, including tissue procurement, specimen preparation, sectioning, and the development and application of novel IHC, ISH, and multiplex assays & AI/image analysis. The successful candidate will support pathobiology research by developing and applying tissue-based assays, analyzing and interpreting data, presenting results, and supporting assay transfers. They will also assist in lab operations and management of the histopathology team.
