Scent: The Scent business unit creates fragrances that evoke emotion, enhance functionality, and bring products to life across multiple consumer categories, including Home Care and Fabric Care. Innovation, sensory expertise, and ingredient science are at the core of how we deliver value to our customers and consumers. You will be part of a cross‑functional R&D and AoP (Art of Perfumery) platform team, working closely with perfumers, evaluators, and fragrance ingredient experts to assess, validate, and recommend new fragrance ingredients for innovation platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Organic Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of scent experience in fragrance (ingredient) projects or programs.
  • Strong affinity with fragrance ingredient chemistry.
  • Ability to smell and distinguish basic perfumery materials.
  • Understanding of ingredient stability and behavior across applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, structured, hands‑on, and results‑driven mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across multiple Home Care / Fabric Care touchpoints.
  • Familiarity with Sensory Decision Making (SDM) frameworks.
  • Ability to translate scientific findings into clear innovation recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the key point of contact for R&D / AoP platform perfumers.
  • Preparing application samples of new FRET ingredients (new fragrance ingredients, internal innovation evaluation platform) in accordance with or finished fragrance applications.
  • Supporting innovation with a strong focus on Home Care applications
  • Designing and executing “in‑use” evaluations at key consumer touchpoints, benchmarked against relevant standards.
  • Ensuring evaluations are aligned with R&D outline KPIs.
  • Collaborating on Go / No‑Go decisions for new ingredients.
  • Defining recommended usage level ranges for accepted ingredients.
  • Conducting stability testing and performance evaluations under different environmental conditions.
  • Managing ingredient assessment data, ensuring traceability and historical tracking.
  • Partnering with the Fragrance Ingredient Strategic Specialist to maintain the database of commercialized FRET ingredients.
