About The Position

EnviroScience is seeking a full-time, entry-level Environmental Scientist to join our growing Compliance Services Practice Area at our headquarters in Stow, Ohio. This role is ideal for a team player who is detail-oriented, can manage multiple tasks, and completes assignments safely and efficiently. The position involves significant field work, requiring comfort working outdoors in various conditions and terrains. Strong scientific writing skills and travel availability are preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field with 0–2 years of field experience, OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an environmental science field.
• Willingness and ability to learn new systems, equipment, and skills.
• Flexibility for overnight travel.
• Ability to accommodate long field days and schedule changes due to weather or client needs.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable driving vehicles for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills with team members in fast-paced field conditions.
• Uninterrupted home-based internet with a minimum bandwidth speed of 20 mbps for remote work.
• Ability to commute to the Stow, Ohio office daily.

Responsibilities

• Performing multimedia field sampling including surface water, groundwater, stormwater, and sediment.
• Conducting inspections and site visits in rural and industrial settings.
• Maintaining a flexible work schedule to accommodate field work year-round in adverse weather and rough terrain.
• Organizing and reviewing data.
• Assisting in the development of reports.
• Representing client’s best interests and supporting clients as needed.
• Communicating efficiently with team members and clients.

• Performing other duties as assigned or required.
