Requirements

Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Immunology, Virology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Strong MSc candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
Thorough understanding of microbiology, molecular biology, and genomics, including the latest nucleic acid analysis methodologies
Proficiency in programming (e.g., R, Python, or Linux/UNIX operating systems) for data science (data pre-processing, analyses, and visualization)
Expertise in computational methods for NGS data analysis and interpretation (e.g., WGS, read alignment, variant calling)
Independent thinking and strong problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work flexibly
Excellent written and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of experiments and computational analyses to advance the MiDOG program, emphasizing microbial genomics, antibiotic resistances, and microbiology.
Analyze and interpret results, provide original insights, and strategically plan future project directions.
Develop and maintain collaborations with external scientists and key opinion leaders pertinent to ongoing projects.
Manage critical aspects of the project lifecycle, from R&D to manufacturing, marketing, commercialization, business development, and networking as needed.
