Perform essential analyses that help ensure product quality and safety as part of our Microbiology team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this role, you'll conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples following established SOPs and GMP guidelines. Your responsibilities will include media preparation, culture maintenance, microbial identification, environmental monitoring, and equipment calibration. You'll document and analyze test results while maintaining strict compliance with quality standards. This position offers opportunities to contribute to method development, participate in validation projects, and work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and aseptic techniques
  • Proficiency in microbiological testing methods including environmental monitoring, growth promotion, and microbial identification
  • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must follow safety protocols and properly use PPE including lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves

Nice To Haves

  • Some work experience in a GMP/GLP environment preferred
  • Experience with LIMS/SAP systems preferred

Benefits

  • The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $51,200.00–$76,850.00.
