About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our High Throughput In Vitro Screening team. This role will lead the in vitro screening workflow to generate high-quality, decision-enabling data across multiple programs. This is a hands-on, in-lab role. The candidate is expected to contribute at the bench, partnering with associates and scientists to execute and troubleshoot experiments. This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. with 2+ years, or M.S. with 5+ years of industry experience in molecular biology, pharmacology, or a related field
  • Experience in high-throughput screening and assay development in a drug discovery setting
  • Experience with RNAi, ASO, or other oligonucleotide-based therapeutics
  • Design, optimize, and execute high-throughput in vitro assays (e.g., transfection, free uptake, qPCR/TaqMan, reporter assays) across diverse cell types
  • Strong understanding of transfection and free-uptake systems across suspension and adherent cell models, including primary systems
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory automation platforms and scaling high-throughput operations
  • Familiarity with automated data capture and analysis platforms
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reproducible data under tight timelines to inform decisions
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring scientists and leading complex workflows
  • Strong communication skills; able to provide clear, timely updates on program progress and key lab activities
  • Comfortable working at the bench alongside associates to execute and troubleshoot experiments
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and driving operational improvements

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop scientists to foster a high-performing, collaborative team
  • Drive end-to-end in vitro screening workflows, from assay development through data delivery, to enable timely, data-driven lead selection
  • Design, optimize, and execute high-throughput assays (e.g., transfection, free uptake, qPCR/TaqMan, reporter assays) across diverse cell types
  • Partner with automation and engineering teams to expand and optimize automated workflows, improving throughput, robustness, and operational efficiency
  • Set and maintain high standards for data quality and reproducibility using assay metrics, controls, and QC frameworks
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to accelerate timelines, increase throughput, and enhance data quality
  • Manage multiple programs in parallel, aligning priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a dynamic, matrixed environment
