About The Position

Apex Companies is hiring a Project Environmental Scientist to join its growing Environmental Team in the Northeast Division. The role supports environmental projects through field sampling, data collection and interpretation, due diligence, and preparation of environmental reports. The position offers opportunities to develop professionally while working directly with staff and management-level team members on field and reporting responsibilities. The Northeast Division works on a variety of civil, environmental, water resources, and traffic/transportation projects.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and report preparation.
Ability to multitask successfully.
Safety awareness and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

Nice To Haves

40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
Light construction experience or hands-on skills.

Responsibilities

Collect soil, water, and/or air samples using different sampling techniques.
Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
Assist with due diligence projects, including ASTM Phase I and Phase II.
Assist with Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP)-based reports, including Immediate Response Action reports, Comprehensive Response Action reports such as MCP Phases I through V, and Permanent Solutions.
Develop career skills through opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
Work directly with staff and management-level team members on field and reporting responsibilities.
