About The Position

This is a 100% online teaching position, offering flexibility and convenience. The specific course is NR-715: Scientific Underpinnings, which focuses on the scientific foundations of nursing practice, evidence-based interventions, the global burden of disease, and various research methodologies. Requirements

MSN and DNP or MSN and PHD in Nursing degree is required.
Must have an active nursing license (Compact/Multi-State RN License required).
2+ years experience teaching online graduate level didactic courses required (excluding precepting).
Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses.
Must have required subject matter expertise and outstanding written communication skills and familiar with APA.
Must have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
Solid written skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in an online environment a must.
Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx/Teams (or similar platform) and Internet.

Responsibilities

Develops and provides students with an approved syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
