About The Position

TetraScience is seeking a Scientific Solutions Partner for the Eastern US region. This role is designed for an individual who can effectively manage both the scientific and commercial aspects of selling TetraScience's Scientific Data and AI Cloud. The Scientific Solutions Partner will own the entire customer engagement process, from initial contact and technical solutioning to closing the deal and ensuring ongoing account health. This position involves working with major enterprise biopharma, biotech, and life sciences companies to demonstrate how Tetra Scientific Data Foundry and Tetra OS can transform scientific data into AI-ready datasets. The role is supported by AI-powered tools to automate tasks like RFP responses and contracting. The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, from bench scientists to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a life science, chemistry, or engineering discipline is required.
  • 5+ years of combined scientific, technical, and commercial experience in life sciences software, laboratory informatics, scientific data infrastructure, or adjacent domains.
  • Direct experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO/CDMO environments (as a scientist, scientific software professional, or sales/solutions professional serving these customers).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical sales cycles in enterprise SaaS or scientific software, including POC design/execution and RFP ownership.
  • Deep familiarity with laboratory workflows and data, including understanding challenges with unstructured data from multiple instruments.
  • Fluency with scientific data concepts: file formats, instrument connectivity, data harmonization, and the path from raw data to AI-ready datasets.
  • Ability to learn modern sales methodologies (MEDDIC, MEDDPIC, Force Management, or similar).
  • Strong executive presence, capable of engaging in both technical architecture sessions and C-suite business discussions.
  • Proficiency with CRM and digital sales tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, SalesLoft, or equivalent).
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to client sites within the assigned region.
  • Must reside in or near New Jersey or Boston, MA.

  • An MS or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline is highly preferred.
  • Equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery to understand customer's lab data landscape, including instruments, data formats, informatics stack, and data science ambitions.
  • Design and present compelling solution architectures aligned with customer's scientific use cases and data management pain points.
  • Conduct live software demonstrations tailored to customer value levers.
  • Own and drive proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements, collaborating with scientific data architects.
  • Manage end-to-end RFP technical responses, synthesizing platform capabilities and customer requirements.
  • Articulate the value of the medallion data architecture (bronze, silver, gold, AI-native) in scientific and business terms.
  • Stay updated on the scientific and informatics landscape, including assay workflows, instrument vendors, software integrations, and AI/ML use cases.
  • Prospect, qualify, and build territory pipeline in alignment with the go-to-market strategy.
  • Identify and close expansion opportunities within existing accounts (new labs, instruments, geographies, sites, use cases).
  • Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through contracting, utilizing modern sales methodologies.
  • Maintain a rigorous and accurate pipeline with consistent forecasting.
  • Build and expand relationships across the customer organization, from individual contributors to executive sponsors.
  • Partner with the Delivery Manager for a smooth sales-to-delivery handoff, ensuring continuity of scientific context.
  • Represent TetraScience at industry events as a scientifically credible voice.
  • Contribute customer and market insights to product, marketing, and science teams.
  • Assist in developing compelling content such as case studies and solution briefs.
