This role involves collaborating with the Business Analyst and Data Strategy team to understand user requirements and data needs. The Scientific Data Analyst will develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools using platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. The position requires translating business and scientific data needs into user-friendly tools that enable decision-making, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security in all visualizations and tools. Support for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes as needed for dashboard development is also part of the role. Continuous improvement and optimization of existing tools for performance and usability, along with providing training and support to end-users, are key responsibilities. This is a temporary position expecting to last until October 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in developing dashboards and analytics tools.
  • Strong skills in data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
  • Knowledge of SQL and data querying languages.
  • Basic understanding of data management principles.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for advanced data manipulation.
