About The Position

The British International School Houston is looking to appoint an outstanding Science Technician to support the practical and technical aspects of the science curriculum (year 7 to 13) by preparing, providing, maintaining, organising and managing the resources required for healthy, safe and secure, exciting practical activities to be carried out by staff and students.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science.
Minimum 2 years’ experience.
Must be proficient with MAC and Desktop.
Be available onsite Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

Ordering specific special equipment as requested by staff.
Organising storing and labelling of new equipment.
Liaising with academic staff to discuss equipment requirements.
Attend department meetings to support with curriculum planning.
Support in the management of the science budget.
Keep an audit of chemicals.
Organise the waste of chemicals.
Preparing solutions from stock concentrations.
