About The Position

Lionsgate Academy is seeking a Science Teacher to teach students in grades 7–12, typically in classes of 8–16. The role teaches middle school science and high school chemistry, using creative techniques and differentiated lessons to support student success. The teacher collaborates with Support Services, IEP teams, and teaching teams to address student accommodations and goals, and provides effective classroom management in an inviting, exciting, innovative, and challenging learning environment. Lionsgate Academy’s mission is to meet the unique learning needs of students living with autism or other learning differences.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Minnesota Teaching License or be able to gain licensure.
• Be able to operate a computer using Google applications or equivalent tools needed to complete job tasks.
• Have classroom teaching and teaming experience with special education and regular education service teams.
• Have experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
