About The Position

Empowerment Academy Charter School is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher for the 2026/2027 School Year and beyond. Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in a K-12 Science
• OR hold Elementary Certification with a Middle School Science (5-8) endorsement
• Only certificated candidates should apply
• Candidates with only a K-6 Certification may be considered at the 5th Grade Level

Responsibilities

• Teach Middle School Science
• Plan lessons and solve problems in professional learning communities (PLCs)
• Partner with an array of specialists to meet scholars’ diverse needs
• Utilize a research-based curriculum and supporting curricular materials
• Administer high-quality formative assessments aligned with the curriculum
• Support students struggling to master essential skills, concepts, or knowledge items
