About The Position

The Teacher provides high-quality, standards-based instruction to students, creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and supports students’ academic and social-emotional growth. The Teacher designs engaging lessons, assesses student progress, and collaborates with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success. This role develops and implements daily lessons aligned with state standards and the school curriculum, uses varied instructional strategies to address diverse learning styles and needs, and monitors student performance through formal and informal assessments. The Teacher provides timely feedback and academic support, communicates with parents and guardians, maintains required records, and participates in school activities, professional development, and team meetings. The position also upholds school policies and fosters growth mindset, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Valid state teaching certification or license in the applicable subject area and grade level.
Knowledge of instructional best practices, curriculum, and classroom management.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum.

Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Monitor and assess student performance through formal and informal assessments.
Provide timely feedback and academic support to help students meet learning goals.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and grade-level or subject-area team meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Uphold school policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
Foster a growth mindset, critical thinking, and a love of learning in students.
Perform other duties that may be required.
