About The Position

This position is for an overload teacher within the STMA Online program, serving students in grades 9-12. The role involves preparing lessons, instructing students with diverse abilities, assessing learning, analyzing student data for instructional planning, fostering an engaging and respectful classroom, communicating with students, parents, and stakeholders, maintaining records, supervising students, participating in school improvement, and engaging in professional learning. The position starts on September 2nd, 2026, with potential for prior training. It is an overload contract that carries over from trimester to trimester and year to year, subject to enrollment and performance. A formal evaluation process separate from regular certified positions will apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education
  • Required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota
  • Specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment
  • Successful student teaching
  • Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching licensure in [LICENSURE AREA AND LEVEL] from the State of Minnesota (PELSB)
