About The Position

BASIS Independent Schools, a subsidiary of Spring Education Group, is a national network of PreK-12 private, secular schools that educate students to the highest international levels. BASIS Independent McLean, located in Tysons Corner in Northern Virginia, is seeking qualified candidates for a Science and Biology Substitute Teacher for Fall 2026. The school, which opened in 2016, has been named the #1 Private K-12 School in Virginia for the last three years by Niche, the #1 Best High School for STEM in Virginia, and ranks in the Top 20 Best Private K-12 Schools in the country. This recognition highlights the strength and expertise of the faculty and the high academic standards set for students. The position serves as a substitute teacher for science and biology classes across middle and high school. The school seeks teachers who are inspired, enthusiastic, creative, and innovative, encouraging them to stretch beyond textbook teaching and bring together instruction methods that help students delve deeper into a subject. This is a full-time, on-campus position during regular school hours.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree from an accredited or approved college or university
