About The Position

As an After School Volleyball Coach, you will facilitate engaging and energetic volleyball sessions for students in grades K–5 at elementary schools throughout the Bay Area. You will oversee student involvement and foster a positive learning atmosphere. Classes are 1–1.5 hours long and serve 8–16 students aged 5–10. The schedule is flexible, with classes starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Coaches work two or more days per week, for a maximum of 2–5 hours weekly. Compensation is $50–$65 per hour. A two-day training session is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Passion for working with children and effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Must be local to the US or possess a valid working visa; visa assistance is not provided.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching or playing volleyball is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and energize classes of 8–16 students aged 5–10.
• Teach volleyball using provided lesson plans.
• Participate in a two-day training session.
• Transport and set up volleyball equipment for each class.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Communicate positively with parents and school staff.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
• Take photos of students during sessions to showcase their progress.
