About The Position

We are looking for a talented School to Work – Engineering to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI. In this role, you will make an impact by developing accurate 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings (using Creo Parametric) to support the design and production release of commercial vehicle components and systems. You will also support the implementation of engineering changes by updating CAD data, preparing complete drawing packages, and executing revisions through Windchill change management. Additionally, you will conduct packaging and feasibility studies to ensure designs integrate effectively within axle, suspension, and drivetrain systems. You will collaborate closely with product engineers and senior designers to refine designs and deliver high-quality, release-ready documentation, and contribute to the timely release of drawing packages by ensuring all specifications, tolerances, and technical requirements are clearly defined. You will build strong cross-functional relationships to improve communication, streamline workflows, and support efficient product development. Furthermore, you will continuously enhance technical capability by applying and learning GD&T principles and advancing CAD modeling proficiency. Lastly, you will leverage strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy, alignment, and successful execution across all design deliverables.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing creation.
  • Experience with Windchill change management.
  • Understanding of packaging and feasibility studies.
  • Ability to collaborate with product engineers and senior designers.
  • Knowledge of specifications, tolerances, and technical requirements.

Responsibilities
