About The Position

We are looking for a talented School to Work - Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI.

Requirements

  • Talented School to Work - Engineer

  • Contribute to the design and development of advanced brake systems
  • Support engineering projects across air, hydraulic, disc, wedge, S‑Cam, and SAHR brake platforms for specialty and off‑highway applications.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals to create 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Support new product releases and sustaining activities throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Strengthen product quality and reliability by assisting with DFMEA, DFM/DFA, statistical analysis, DVP&R, and design and technical reviews.
  • Support brake lab and testing activities by coordinating test development, tracking parts, managing priorities, and creating clear technical test reports.
  • Investigate service parts and field returns to identify root causes and contribute to data‑driven design improvements.
  • Enable project execution by managing purchase orders, meeting timelines, and ensuring engineering tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams by communicating proactively, contributing diverse ideas, and supporting shared engineering objectives.
  • Promote a safe and compliant work environment by following safety procedures, applying best practices, and continuously improving engineering processes.
