About The Position

The Arete School Support - Family Advocate supervisor will carry out various administrative services assigned for Arete Education Youth Programs and will plan, organize, and direct the execution of program activities, special projects, events, and requests. As they work towards managing family advocates and supervising school support interns.

Bilingual (Spanish/English)
1-2 years of demonstrated leadership work experience.
Mandated Reporter and Foundations in Health and Safety online training required (7 hours) to begin the internship
Department of Health and Department of Education background clearance
High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Attend and participate in all program activities, events, training, and staff meetings.
Participate in regular performance meetings with your supervisor.
Demonstrate exceptional service skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, professionalism, a positive and encouraging demeanor, and a "can do" attitude.
Conduct outreach to support student enrollment and attendance.
Create event schedules and flyers.
Oversee student and staff attendance procedures; support daily reporting of this data to the Community School Director.
Develop weekly reports for the Community School Director regarding student and family attendance and participation.
Organize and maintain digital files and student and parent database information.
Add regular photo and video posts to Arete's social media accounts.
Always represent the Arete Education and Partner schools in the best light, consistent with organizational standards of conduct.
Identifies needs, makes recommendations for, and facilitates high-quality youth program activities.
Collaborate with other program teams across the organization.
Coordinate and manage all aspects of assigned projects to ensure timely completion within the available budget.
Assist the Community School Director, or other leadership staff, with planning functions for special projects.
Act as liaison with program staff and leadership team.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
