About The Position

This role provides assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of daily activities within the school setting. The staff will work under the direct supervision of the principal to provide support as needed on the campus. This position involves assisting with various tasks such as making copies, delivering materials, and other projects. It also includes supervising students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods, and field trips. The role may also involve assisting with student drop-off and pick-up through Driveline, maintaining ethical behavior and confidentiality, alerting teachers to student issues, assisting with educational computer programs, and reinforcing learning with individual students or small groups. The position requires performing other related duties as required by the supervisor that do not require professional skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.
  • Nevada Employees: NV Fingerprint Background Check

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direct supervision of the principal to provide support as needed on the campus.
  • Assist in duties such as making copies, delivering materials, and other projects, as needed.
  • Assist with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips.
  • Assist in the drop-off and pick-up of children through Driveline, possibly during inclement weather.
  • Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers.
  • Alert the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
  • May assist staff and students in use of educational computer programs.
  • Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor which do not require any professional skills.
  • May periodically work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
