About The Position

TheraPeds Partners is a Colorado-based, therapist-owned and operated organization that partners with local schools to provide School Social Worker (SW) services to PreK-12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality School Social Worker (SW) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment. This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role as a School Social Worker serving a school located in Littleton (Jeffco), CO. The School Social Worker (SW) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents), and supporting students according to their IEP. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) (LSW) or LCSW) from an accredited program
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) License with School Social Worker endorsement (or eligibility)
  • Completion of 900 hours of supervised practicum/fieldwork in social work settings
  • Knowledge of IEPs, special education law, and behavior intervention planning
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
